Page Object Settings
All object settings are available with Premium.
On most pages, visitors can choose an object to reveal when making a donation or leaving a message. Depending on your chosen template, your page will have one or more object groups, each of which has its own settings and rules.
Enabled
This setting is available on certain templates and object groups. By disabling an object group:
- Objects in the group will not be available to use.
- Objects will be displayed as if they have been used.
- If an object group has a colour choice, a random colour will be used from the choice set in Object Colours.
- If an object has been previously used and its group is later disabled, the message/donation can still be viewed on the page.
Please note that you cannot disable an object group if the total objects available would result in less than 5 per page.
Name
You can provide an alternative object name to match your campaign or organisation's brand terminology. This should be a singular noun such as star, light, heart etc.
The name of the object appears in a sentence when an available object is selected. By substituting the word star for your alternative, please ensure the following sentence is grammatically correct:
"Would you like this star?"
Button text
This text is displayed in the call-to-action menu for each object. Use the button text to invite people to reveal this object on the page, eg. Switch on a light, Add a star to the sky, etc.
Donations optional
Enable this setting to:
- Explicitly declare that donations are optional for the object.
- Set the minimum donation to zero.
Minimum donation
The minimum donation amount is the value (in your respective currency) required to be donated, to reveal a specific object.
This value can be set to 0,2 or more, but no greater than 10000. If the value is set greater than 2, the minimum donation amount will be specified when an object is selected (e.g. Donate £50 or more).
If you set the minimum donation value to 0, a donation is not required but not declared as optional. If you want to make people aware it is optional, enable the Donations optional setting instead.
Pre-selected amount
Also known as a suggested donation; this is the amount pre-selected when the donation form loads. Donors can choose another amount from a range of values (selectable amounts) or by typing in the Donation amount box.
Custom selectable amounts
The selectable amounts on the donation form provide a convenient way for donors to choose another donation amount. This choice is automatically generated based on the Pre-selected amount you have set.
Use this setting to define your own list of selectable amounts.
- Provide up to 4 values seperated by a comma. Example: 30, 45, 60, 75
- You do not need to include the pre-selected amount; this is automatically populated.
- Values must be greater than or equal to the minimum donation.
- Values of zero or between 2-10000 are permitted.
- You can use decimal values if required. Example: 43.50, 76.70, 90, 100
Leave this setting blank to automatically generate a list of values.
Use the Preview section to view how the selectable amounts will be displayed on the donation form.
