Template Settings
Template settings are available on any template in My Templates. These settings configure a template to be accessed and used by your fundraising supporters. To access the settings of a template:
- Navigate to My Templates.
- Click Template settings on the desired template.
- Click Edit on any setting to change it.
Template
Featured
When enabled, your supporters will be able to access and create their own pages with your template. It will also display the template in your Featured Templates collection.
Title
This title displays when you share your featured template collection or a single template; this could be the name of your campaign for example.
This setting is different to the Page title. Every page created with a template can be given its own unique page title.
Web address
This is the shareable address that links to the template landing page.
- The landing page is publicly accessible only when the template is Featured.
- We do not recommend changing this address if you have already shared it with your supporters.
Image
The template image is displayed on your template landing page and when shared on social platforms. You can upload an alternative image by clicking the Edit button.
Description
The template description is also displayed on the template landing page and an excerpt may be displayed when shared on social. This is the opportunity to write a statement about your campaign, or suggesting how you would like your supporters to fundraise with the template.
Page defaults
The remaining settings are used to apply defaults to a page, when one is created by your supporters. You can adjust any settings to align with your brand or particular campaign. For example, if you change the Interface defaults, these colours and logo will be set when a supporter creates a page with the template. A Page title and About page are required to be supplied to publish a page. You can supply a default About page to save the fundraiser time, but they must supply their own page title.
For help on individual default settings, simply click on the Help button within the section title.
Other information
- Most, but not all, settings can be assigned a default value or image.
- Supporters can override settings that may have been applied to their page.
- Changing default settings does not affect any pages already created. Defaults are only applied when a new page is created.
- Access to Premium template settings are available on our paid-for plans or on templates that you own.
Preview
To experience how a page might look created with your template, use the Preview window or View the page in full.
Please note that you cannot make any test contributions or publish a page within Template settings.
