We will look for you in the stars, we will think of you in the darkness, we will love you to the Moon and back, and beyond.
When a baby dies, every parent leaves their old life behind and begins a journey into what can feel like complete darkness. At Sands we walk with people, to offer support, to shine a starlight of hope and help everyone find a way through.
This year has been very tough for us all, and the impact of coronavirus has left many families vulnerable and isolated from their loved ones. Demand for our services has soared to some of the highest levels in Sands’ history. Now more than ever, we are determined to make sure we are there for anyone impacted by baby loss. Join us on this important mission to the Moon and back to make sure no-one endures baby loss alone.
With your support Sands will be able to continue to deliver our crucial work supporting anyone affected by the death of a baby, improving bereavement care and promoting research to save more babies' lives.

Sands is the UK’s leading stillbirth and neonatal death charity. For over 40 years Sands has been the informed voice of bereaved parents and families and provided accredited bereavement and mental health support.
Sands exists to:
- Support anyone affected by the death of a baby for as long as they need
- Work in partnership with healthcare professionals, NHS and governments, to ensure that bereaved parents and families receive the best possible care
- Promote improvements in practice and research to save babies' lives
Baby loss is experienced by many but spoken about by few. Sands is determined to break the silence surrounding baby loss, to reduce the numbers of babies dying and to reduce the isolation felt by families when the very worst does happen.
