As we celebrate 150 years of Beacon’s work within the sight loss community, we’re marking this incredible milestone with a unique and meaningful tribute and we’re inviting you to be a part of it.
For every donation made a handcrafted flower will be added to a tree displayed proudly in the front window of our centre. Each flower is uniquely created by our Beacon members, individuals living with sight loss who have found strength and community at Beacon.
With every gift, our tree will bloom brighter, a growing symbol of kindness, resilience, and hope. Your support doesn’t just help today; it plants seeds for a more inclusive, empowered tomorrow.
Be Part of Beacon’s History
The official burial of a time capsule will be a special moment in our 150th anniversary. This capsule will be filled with messages from supporters like you, messages of hope and personal reflections on what Beacon means to you. All messages submitted through our virtual tree will be included ensuring your words are preserved and rediscovered in 2075.
The official time capsule burial ceremony will take place on: Tuesday 23rd September at Beacon, Wolverhampton Road, WV4 6AZ. We welcome you from 5:30pm with the official time capsule burial at 6:00pm. For more information please click here LINK

We’ve been here to make sure no one has to face sight loss alone. Whether you're just starting your journey or have been navigating it for a while, we can help you to live well with sight loss. We've been supporting people with conditions like Cataracts, Macular Degeneration, Diabetic Retinopathy, Tunnel Vision, and Glaucoma for generations. Our vision? A world where everyone values and protects their sight, and where visual impairment is just a part of your story, not the whole story.
