Pets As Therapy (PAT) is a national charity that enhances the health and wellbeing of thousands of people in communities across the UK. We strive to ensure that everyone, no matter their circumstances, has access to the companionship of an animal.
Our dedicated volunteers and their friendly pets visit establishments such as care homes, hospitals, hospices, schools and prisons. These PAT Teams enrich the lives of people of all ages, who get the chance to chat to someone and stroke and cuddle a dog or cat.
Donations received as part of our Pets As Therapy Christmas Appeal 2022 will help us to recruit and assess more volunteers, so we can offer our services to those who need it most. Over 4,000 establishments are eager for our therapeutic visits and are on a waiting list – a generous gift from you this Christmas could help our volunteers to spread some festive cheer.
You can donate and help to decorate our virtual Christmas tree by hanging a bauble or switching on a fairy light, or you could choose to leave a present under our pretty tree. Make sure you leave a message for others to see.
Perhaps you would like to donate to Pets As Therapy this year instead of sending Christmas cards to family and friends. Or you could switch on a light in memory of a faithful four-legged friend.
