Pets As Therapy (PAT) is a national charity that enhances the health and wellbeing of thousands of people in communities across the UK. Our volunteers and their friendly pets visit establishments such as care homes, hospitals, hospices, schools and prisons.
Donations received as part of our Christmas Appeal 2021 will help us to recruit and assess more volunteers, so we can offer our services to those who need it most. Over 3,000 establishments are on a waiting list for our therapeutic visits – a gift from you this Christmas will help us spread more festive cheer.
You can donate and help to decorate our virtual Christmas tree by hanging a bauble or switching on a fairy light, or leave a present under our tree. Be sure you add a message for others to see.
Perhaps you would like to donate to Pets As Therapy instead of sending Christmas cards to family and loved ones. Or you could switch on a light in memory of a faithful four-legged friend.
Thank you for supporting our Christmas Appeal 2021.

Pets are wonderful. They offer comfort, companionship and joy like nothing else—unconditionally, without judgment or expectations. Pets possess a unique ability to give us exactly what we need, even when we aren’t aware of it ourselves.
Imagine if we could bottle that magic and share it. That’s precisely what we do.
We connect our incredible nationwide community of pet owners and their temperament-assessed dogs and cats with schools, care homes, hospitals, and more, to boost moods, foster confidence, and brighten days.
By sharing everyday moments of magic—small joys without judgment—that not only lift someone’s spirits but can also shift their outlook more permanently, helping them feel happier and healthier, mentally and emotionally, long after the visit.
We are here to help more people experience the everyday moments of magic that pets bring.
