Mandy's Strictly Page - Home-Start Royston, Buntingford & South Cambridgeshire

I've worked for Tesco for 25 years doing various roles. I've been a community champion for the last 12 years, which I really enjoy doing. I work with lots of different groups, schools and charities and it's great to be able to support our local community.

My hobbies include running, cycling and walking. I belong to Royston Runners and have met some amazing friends through the group. I have completed 3 marathons, two of which were in London & the other one being Beachy Head which was a real challenge!

I was nominated to carry the Olympic torch in 2012 which was an amazing experience and one I will never forget. Although the torch didn't come through Royston I felt I was able to bring it back with me and share it with the people of Royston.

I'm 6ft tall so would need to have a very tall dancing partner!! I love all kinds of dancing....in the privacy of my kitchen but I'm looking forward to trying out different ones and hoping to find one that suits me and I can do.

What do I think about being a part of Strictly for Charity?
I’m feeling excited but apprehensive as this is completely outside my comfort zone. I’m looking forward to learning how to dance with my, hopefully, very tall partner!
