Light Up a Life is one of the most well-loved, meaningful and poignant events in the Hospice calendar and is a chance for supporters to remember a loved one at a traditionally reflective time of year. This unique celebration is a special time for family and friends to come together and remember those who sadly are no longer with us.
We would love for you to share your memories and a special message to your loved one by dedicating a light on our virtual Christmas tree.
Lights will shine brightly for loved ones no longer with us at a special ceremony hosted by Southern Area Hospice on Thursday 12th of December at 7.30pm in the Hospice grounds as we illuminate our very special tree.
This can be a difficult time especially for those that have been bereaved and we hope this special event will provide some comfort to those families.

Evora Hospice care for patients and their families living across Armagh, Down and Tyrone, offering specialist palliative and end of life care. The main aim of the Hospice is to help patients who have received a palliative diagnosis live well with their condition. We strive to support patients to achieve the best possible quality of life from first receiving a palliative diagnosis, until the end of life, whenever that may be. We also offer ongoing support to patients’ families and carers.
All our services are provided free of charge and we rely heavily on voluntary donations. This year Evora Hospice Care (we) need to raise £4 million to enable us to continue to provide vital specialist palliative care services. This is approximately 68% of our total required income, the remainder being funded through government support. We need to raise these funds to enable us to continue to provide care and support to our patients and their families.
