Every year 7300 women are diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Target Ovarian Cancer funds innovative research that will benefit the largest proportion of women with ovarian cancer in the shortest time frame. Fortunately this means that treatment options & survival rates are improving. However, for some the reality that cancer still often out smarts modern medicine is a sad reality. Many homes will experience this Christmas with an empty chair, previously occupied by a mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece or friend. So this year instead of the usual extravagant spending I am going to donate to Target Ovarian Cancer so that women across the UK can continue to benefit from high quality research with improved treatment options & better survival rates. I hope that in the next few weeks as we become caught up in the bubble of Christmas that others will consider joining me & perhaps donate as an alternative gift idea - Nothing would symbolise the spirit of Christmas more than my virtual tree being lit from top to bottom. The smallest of contributions has the potential to have the largest of impacts. Thank you for taking the time to visit my page and for taking the time to read this.

11 women die every day from ovarian cancer. That’s 11 lives lost and hundreds shattered as family and friends say goodbye too soon to someone they love as a consequence of this devastating disease. But there is hope – Target Ovarian Cancer.
We are the authority on ovarian cancer. We work with women, family members and health professionals to ensure we target the areas that matter most for those living and working with ovarian cancer.
As the UK’s leading ovarian cancer charity we improve early diagnosis, we fund life-saving research and we provide much-needed support to women with ovarian cancer. We’re the only charity fighting ovarian cancer on all three of these fronts, across all four nations of the UK.
