Diapalante
We work with small local groups in Africa to fight poverty and its long term damage by establishing projects which bring immediate and lasting improvements to people’s lives.
In Mauritania we help women who are widowed or divorced start goat keeping, giving a small family income and helping them live sustainably within their village community.
In Senegal the Diapalante Community Education Centre offers “Education for all”. Around 500 people aged between 6 and 50yrs attend free sessions which encompass both academic and practical skills. These activities develop literacy and learning, encourage responsible citizenship and improve employment opportunities.
In South Africa the Hillcrest Advice Bureau and Bursary Fund improves access to education for youngsters in the Community of the Valley of 1000 Hills in KwaZulu Natal. Practical help and individual ongoing advice sessions help beneficiaries succeed in their educational journey, including through university.
