We know that Christmas is one of the moments of the year families feel the absence of a loved one the most. When you celebrate your star we’ll hang a special decoration on the tree at your nearest Acorns Children’s Hospice, letting their light shine over those who’ll be using the hospice during the festive season.

Last Christmas was unusual for everyone and at Acorns Children’s Hospice we were no different. Our celebrations were limited with none of the usual visits from local sports teams and well wishing fundraisers. Many of the children and families who would normally spend time with us over the festive period had to celebrate on their own at home while shielding.

Although most of us can look forward to this Christmas as a chance to make up for lost time, sadly many families who use Acorns don’t have that luxury. When your child has a life limiting condition, every moment together counts.
