Hi, welcome to the fundraising page for the Diving for Muscular Dystrophy Aquathon team!
We are the Muscular Dystrophy UK Aquathon team.
We are swimming in memory of Bruce Hulland, the uncle of our team captain Lucas, who suddenly passed away at the young age of 45 on the 5th of March. Bruce’s positive attitude, generosity and lust for life inspired many - he is sadly missed by all who knew him.
He was diagnosed a few years ago with a form of muscular dystrophy called myotonic dystrophy type 1, a genetic condition that causes progressive muscle weakness and wasting.
We are raising money for Muscular Dystrophy UK, who is researching effective treatments for the future, campaigning to improve the quality of life for those that live with this muscle-wasting condition, and who offer care and support services for families.
Please join us in raising money to make a difference to those living with Muscular Dystrophy and in memory of Bruce.

Our support is completely free, non-judgemental, compassionate and tailored to the needs of the family.
We help parents be the best they can be - to give their children a brighter future.
