Once again as part of our annual Light up a Life Campaign you can dedicate a light on our Virtual Christmas tree without leaving home which is still a popular choice for many people who wish to do so through online options.

Dedicate a light on our virtual tree and leave a personalised message when you donate the amount of your choice. You can also upload a photo if you wish to do so. Once the light has been dedicated the message can be viewed when hovering over the light on the tree allowing you to share the reasons why you have donated with others. There will also be an opportunity to dedicate the Star at the top of the online tree/s for a higher donation option.

You'll receive an automatic online confirmation of your dedication followed by a special card containing the name of your dedication as it appears in the Book of Life. Unfortunately, we will not be able to have a Book of Life on display this year, instead, it will be published on our website at www.woodlandshospice.org and a smaller version 'made to order' will be available at £5 each and posted out early in the New Year.

As we are still limiting visitors to the hospice to ensure we keep our patients and their families safe we have once again had to make the difficult decision to cancel the outdoor Light up a Life service at the Hospice. However, we will be holding a number of community Light up a Life services where you will be most welcome to come along and join us. This year in addition to a tree at St Michaels Church in Blundellsand (Sunday 28th November 4.00 pm) and St Andrews, Maghull (Thursday 9th December 7.00 pm) we will be having a tree of lights at Holy Name Church, Fazakerley (Tuesday 7th December 7.00 pm). PLEASE NOTE: Due to maximum numbers at the church events 'free issue' tickets will be issued.

We will have a selection of Light up a Life pin badges for sale along with a Light up a keepsake tree decoration. These can be ordered via our website or call 0151 529 4143. There is no additional charge for postage.

Of course you'll be able to view your dedicated lights as often as you wish.
