WIC's Christmas Tree of Hope - Rainham Foodbank

WIC's Christmas Tree of Hope

WIC's Christmas Tree of Hope share image

WIC is lighting up Christmas — literally!

We’re swapping Christmas cards for kindness this year and inviting you to decorate our WIC Tree of Hope with a donation to Rainham Foodbank.

Every light on this tree represents:
- A neighbour supported
- A family helped
- A little more hope in our community

Let’s fill this tree with colour, joy and generosity — and show what happens when a brilliant comes together for a worthwhile cause.

Add your light - and a little message for the team - to help us make Christmas shine a little brighter for people in our community.

We have been supporting the community with emergency food since 2011. We believe that no one in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis.

In recent years we have been developing our 'more than food' projects - aimed at tackling the underlying needs of the emergency food parcels. We now also offer:

• Benefits and advocacy
• Debt support
• Counselling for adults and children
• Befriending services
• English for refuges
• Sewing sanctuary
• Skills building (i.e. CV writing, interview skills etc)
• Employability
• Breakfast club and fresh food Fridays

Our goal is to ensure that every person that walks through our door can access the help they need in order to restore dignity, revive hope and transform lives.
