Whitley Bay Rotary Club are supporting North Tyneside General Hospital this Christmas!
You can make a donation to leave a message on our Tree of Light. Celebrate the season, remember a loved one or simply share some festive cheer. A suggested donation is £3.
Founded in 1923, Whitley Bay Rotary Club has a proud history of friendship, service in the community, and fundraising that has benefitted thousands. Guided by the motto “Service Above Self,” we focus on supporting our local community through events like the annual fireworks on The Links and the Whitley Bay fiestas, as well as many charitable causes such as the Bay Foodbank, working in local schools and with other local projects.
Members regularly fundraise, seek grants, and give their time and energy to help a wide range of activities and good causes at the heart of the town. This year the members are very excited to partner with Bright Northumbria Healthcare Charity and raise funds for them with our Tree of Light in North Tyneside General Hospital.
All funds raised through this campaign will support charitable projects at North Tyneside General Hospital, part of Northumbria Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

Bright Northumbria Healthcare Charity
Charity no. 1083122
Bright Northumbria Healthcare Charity (Bright Charity) aims to bring a little brightness to the world and improve the patient experience for those accessing our NHS services as well as supporting our staff to provide the very best care.
Bright Charity has helped to fund a huge range of projects across our family of hospitals and community facilities in Northumberland and North Tyneside.
We fund things that the NHS does not; including better facilities for patients and their families, and support for our incredible staff allowing them to provide the best of care that you need.
Without your generous donations, this would not have been possible. From creating calm sanctuaries for staff and patients, to transforming ward spaces to make patients with Alzheimer’s feel safer. Our communities are at the heart of everything we do.
