Unleash the Holiday Cheer and Decorate the Tree! Each ornament purchased helps AWCR save one grey dog at a time.

This year we have several sweet senior weims that fortunately found their way to AWCR. We love our seniors and they require a bit of extra tender care.

Veterinary bills and boarding (in lieu of available, no-cost foster homes/boarding) are our biggest expense, but there are several other pockets of need that our funds support, such as permanent foster support and working with families to be able to continue to care for their senior weims under the care and support of the rescue.

We currently support 10 senior and medically needy weims in our permanent foster program that were pulled from shelters or surrendered to us because their families could no longer care for them and/or afford their care. While it's easy to judge those that fall in these circumstances, we focus our energy, instead, on making sure that we ensure the quality of care and life for the weim.
