The Sandcastle Trust's Christmas Appeal - Help light up our virtual Christmas tree

Time spent together as a family creating special memories is precious, even more so during the festive season and when a loved one has a life-changing rare genetic condition.

This winter will be a tough one for many, but families living with a rare genetic condition are being hit particularly hard by the cost of living crisis. Even before the huge increase in living costs, the extra expenses faced by disabled people added up to more than £583 a month (source: Scope). Now, many of our families are having to sacrifice basic necessities like heating or food in order to meet the costs of keeping vital, often life-saving equipment running and to pay for transport to and from hospital.

The much needed family fun and respite provided by The Sandcastle Trust supports emotional wellbeing and resilience and improves quality of life. But we can't do it without the generosity of our wonderful supporters.
