Support young carers this Easter - The Quilter Foundation

This Easter, we want to continue to support young carers and raise valuable funds to protect young carers’ futures.

As Young Carers Action Day highlighted, young carers want to be recognised for their skills and the contribution they make to society and to employers.

Your support takes us a step closer to supporting young carers to raise their aspirations, feel confident to approach new challenges like job interviews, and feel supported with their mental health and wellbeing, all crucial in brightening their futures.

As Easter eggs can’t be collected in person this year, we’d love you to get involved by picking a virtual Easter egg, and leaving a lovely message of support and recognition for young carers.

Your gift of a virtual Easter egg to a young carer can make such a positive difference:

- £10 could provide a care package for a young carer, including items to help them take care of themselves and relax, including an Easter egg, herbal teas, bath salts and a notebook, so they can write about their hopes, dreams, and aspirations.

- £25 could provide a place at a Carers Trust local carers service, where a young carer can take part in a range of virtual activities and build connections with other young carers, supporting them on their way to a brighter future.

- £50 could support a young carer on their employment journey, by helping to purchase a new set of interview clothes, so they can feel more confident for virtual interviews.

- £100 could provide much-needed online 1:1 support for a young carer feeling overwhelmed with the pressures of balancing their caring role with education or employment.

- £150 could help a young carer connect with a dedicated mentor in the fashion industry to help them achieve their dream of becoming a designer.
