As part of our festive fundraising this year, we invite you to join us for our 2024 Christmas Jumper Day and help New College Worcester continue supporting young people aged 11 to 19 who are blind or vision impaired.
NCW will be wearing their woolly jumpers on Friday, 13 December (though you can choose a different date if needed). Just put on your favourite festive knitwear, or if that’s not your style, get creative with a Christmas t-shirt, tie, hat, or even some Christmas decorations!
If you prefer NOT to wear festive knitwear, you can still participate by donating to our virtual Christmas jumper page. That way, you can be part of the fun without the winter woollies!
Whether you’re at home, school, or work, simply donate what you can (suggested £2) or collect donations from friends and colleagues.
Let’s try and raise as much money as possible this Christmas for NCW! You could even go the extra mile by organising a tombola or Christmas cake sale – every penny makes a big difference to the support we provide to our students. Thank you for your festive spirit and support!

NCW is the only secondary school in the UK dedicated to supporting young people who are blind or vision impaired (VI). As a residential, non-maintained special school for students aged 11 to 19, many also face challenges such as hearing impairments, physical disabilities, learning difficulties, or being on the autistic spectrum. With over 150 years of history, NCW focuses on providing the best opportunities for students, offering high-quality education, exceptional residential care, and a supportive environment to help them thrive and gain independence. While most school fees are funded by local authorities, NCW is responsible for costs like maintenance, repairs, refurbishment, vehicles, equipment, and trips, relying on fundraising and community support to cover these expenses. Your contributions help maintain resources and ensure we continue providing the best education and care.
