This Christmas, Sunflower Ward at the Royal Derby Hospital is celebrating the power of music and festive cheer through a special music project. Inspired by the positive impact of a Music in Hospitals session, Fran Watson, Senior Play Specialist, led the creation of a Christmas song and music video, featuring staff from across the hospital and some of our young patients.

The project not only brought joy and connection to the ward, but it’s also helping to raise funds for a vital cause: improving the sensory play area for children on Sunflower Ward. This space is crucial for providing a stimulating, calming environment that supports the wellbeing of our young patients.

With your generous support, we can enhance this area, making it a better place for children to play, relax, and heal during their time in hospital. Every donation helps us bring more joy and comfort to the children and families who need it most.
