COVID-19 has sent food and fuel prices soaring in Tanzania leaving its most vulnerable children and their carers at extra risk.
Alongside our daily work to support them, we want to make this Christmas extra special for the children - 32 of them at Forever Angels Baby Home and 50 in the Maisha Matters outreach programme, living with their relatives in the community. Every Angel that you buy will give a child a special Christmas. Give whatever you can and we will provide each child with a stocking gift, a present, special Christmas dinner, some new clothing and extra support for the family if they live in the community. We support orphaned, malnourished infants and their, usually female, carers in the community in Tanzania by providing nutrition, training and business set-ups so that women can obtain dignity and status an raise a healthy family, independent of us. Where no carer is available, our interim Baby Home provides health, education and love until children can return to their family or find a new forever family.
