Simba has been supporting families who have lost their baby since 2005. Our unique Memory Boxes are made with love by our committed volunteers and gifted to hospitals, families and individuals to offer comfort and gather precious memories.
For many of us, the robin has come to represent a spiritual connection with loved ones who have passed away. It’s a common belief that a robin appearing nearby may be a sign that a departed soul is watching over you. This sentiment is captured in the popular saying, “When robins appear, loved ones are near.”

Simba exists to support families, and those close to them, whose baby has died at any stage of pregnancy or around the time of birth, no matter how recent or how long ago the loss was.
We donate our bespoke Memory Boxes to maternity, gynaecology and neonatal wards as well as hospices so that families can ideally be offered a Memory Box at the time of their loss, using their Memory Box to honour their baby and where possible, create memories of precious time spent together.
