This Valentine’s Day, we’re celebrating the people who truly put their hearts into helping others. Our volunteers donated an astonishing 170,690 hours in 2025 across South Central Ambulance Service Foundation Trust (SCAS) — every hour driven by care, compassion and commitment.
From responding to 999 calls and driving patients to vital hospital appointments, to fundraising in all weathers, teaching lifesaving CPR, and acting as critical friends to SCAS — our volunteers are at the heart of everything we do.

South Central Ambulance Charity raises funds to support South Central Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SCAS). All the monies raised by our Charity are used to fund services, projects and equipment that is not supplied by Government NHS funding. Without the money we raise people in our communities would have to wait longer for help which could affect their recovery.
The Charity works across Hampshire, Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.
- We provide equipment, uniform and training for our Volunteer Community First Responders.
- Build awareness of lifesaving skills and defibrillators in our communities.
- Support SCAS staff with new equipment and better working environments.
