Imagine not being able to go to school as you cannot pay the school fees, imagine having no way out of poverty, having dreams that remain unfulfilled… Then, imagine the hope and joy when you learn that your school fees will be paid, and you will get an education!
This is what Rafiki Thabo Foundation is all about. With the help of our supporters, we provide school bursaries to children in Africa who without our intervention would not have been able to pay their way through education.
It takes so little to transform a life! £7.50 pays for a week at secondary school, £100 pays for a month at university, for a child in Uganda or Kenya to complete 5 years of secondary school costs only £1,500.
Imagine what we can achieve together if we light up this Christmas Tree! Help us provide hope to a child this Christmas, hope of a better future! You can choose your light, and your donation amount, you can even choose the star at the top of the tree (until it is taken of course!).
Thank you so much for visiting our page and for any donation you can consider, small or large! The team at Rafiki Thabo and all our scholars wish you the most magical Christmas!
Light up a life with education this Christmas!

We believe that a lack of hope and education is true poverty and aim to transform the lives of deprived children in Africa by paying bursaries for school fees. With an education, they are empowered to believe in their futures and pursue their dreams, they will secure paid, meaningful employment and can lift themselves out of poverty. Without our support, they would remain at home working manual labour to help feed their family or be married off at a tender age for dowry. We also provide 70 of the poorest students at our link school in Uganda with a nutritious daily meal – without which they would brave their long school walk on an empty stomach, with no energy to learn in class. Grassroot and accountable, every penny donated by our supporters goes directly to the schools. The drive behind Rafiki Thabo is clear: positive and sustainable change in local economy, politics and health can and will happen. Gender equality and an end to poverty is possible. Underpinning it all is education.
