You may have seen the heartbreaking story of Bear, featured on Tails from the Shelter. As you’ll understand, losing a beloved member of the family is always incredibly difficult and at Hope Rescue, saying goodbye to any of the dogs in our care is never easy.
To honour the memory of those we’ve lost, we’ve created a rainbow as a special place to remember all the pets who are no longer with us. Leaving a gift in their memory is a beautiful way to celebrate their life while helping other dogs in our care on their journey to becoming cherished companions.

Since 2005 Hope Rescue has been saving the lives of stray, abandoned and unwanted dogs that, through no fault of their own, need a second chance. We commit to take all the stray dogs from six Local Authorities in South Wales - Merthyr Tydfil, Torfaen, Blaenau Gwent, Bridgend, Vale of Glamorgan and Rhondda Cynon Taf - irrespective of their age, breed or medical condition. We also help owners in crisis who need to surrender their dogs, giving them peace of mind that their dogs will be rehomed responsibly.
