Our pets never fail to bring us joy, whether they’re doing zoomies around the house or binkies in the garden, snuggled up by the fire or making us laugh with their imaginative sleeping positions. It’s their unique personalities, unconditional love and their funny little quirks that fill our hearts and make a house a home.
After what has been a year we would all like to forget - this Christmas we want to spread some happiness and celebrate the pets that are with us today and remember those who are no longer with us, but still make us smile!
Help us to decorate our Animals in Distress Christmas tree with paw prints at a suggested donation of £20 each or a minimum donation of £100 for the shining star at the top of the tree. You can choose from a choice of colours and add your own photo and personalised message.

We are an independent rescue centre and very proud to have been part of the South Devon community for nearly 40 years.
From humble beginnings, the charity has grown tremendously and now re-homes over 600 cats, dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs in South Devon every year. We also support some of the most vulnerable people in the community who, for example, are no longer able to look after their pets due to ill health or bereavement.
While the animals are with us we strive to keep them healthy and happy by providing regular vet checks, feeding them quality food and giving them every opportunity to exercise and socialise. We try to provide the majority of veterinary care on site to prevent unnecessary stress and we ensure all of our dogs and cats leave us having been microchipped, vaccinated and neutered, as well as treated for fleas and worms.
Without the help of our generous supporters in the local community and beyond, we simply would not be able to provide this vital service.
