Neil's last Christmas with us was fabulous. He was so thrilled to be a Papa to our beautiful granddaughter and we never imagined that his first Christmas with her would also be his last.
I often wonder how life would be if he was still here. If better treatments had been available that might have given him - us- more time. What if there was a test that could have detected his cancer at a much earlier stage? When it was treatable? Curable? How different life would be.
Once again this year I'm not going to send cards. Instead I will be making a donation to the Roy Castle Lung Cancer Foundation and ask that you consider making a donation instead of sending me a card.
Too late for Neil but perhaps the funds raised will save other families from a lonely Christmas.
