Mount Vernon Cancer Centre is a specialist centre in the heart of Northwood which provides exceptional care and treatment to local people being treated for cancer.
This Christmas we are inviting you to a give a gift to Mount Vernon Cancer Centre whilst dedicating a candle to a staff member, department or a loved one.
The candle will shine brightly throughout the festive period and will be a tribute to the special people in our lives.
Donations received from the candles will help us continue to fund projects to enhance the care and experience of those receiving treatment at our centre.
Donations could help provide complementary therapies such as massage to help
with the side effects of their treatment, scalp cooling caps to reduce the likelihood of hair loss
from chemotherapy or refurbishments to outside spaces so patients have calming places where
they can take a break away from the clinical area to relax.
Thank you for your support and we wish you a peaceful Christmas and a New Year filled with light, love and hope.
Dedicate a Christmas candle to someone special and support Mount Vernon Cancer Centre

East and North Hertfordshire Hospitals’ Charity transforms care at the Lister Hospital, New QEII Hospital, Hertford County Hospital and Mount Vernon Cancer Centre.
We fund the very best medical equipment, research, advanced training for staff and extra facilities for our patients.
We fund a wide variety of projects that support newborn babies up to the elderly with each and every one making a difference.
From funding toys for poorly children to a state-of-the-art MRI scanner, we raise money to fund hospital projects large and small.
We strive to be at the forefront of medical care and this means that we also fund innovative research and specialist staff training. We also fund small refurbishments and building projects to enhance our patient and visitor comfort.
With your support we can continue to transform the hospitals that care for you and your loved ones.
