Lights to Remember 2023 - Northern Ireland Hospice

Lights to Remember is a special service that we hold every year at Christmas. It’s not just for those families who have experienced the care of Hospice, but for the entire community and anyone who has ever felt the grief of bereavement.

It’s a time to come together - take a breather away from the whirlwind of Christmas planning and remember our loved ones; friends and family who are no longer with us. It's also an opportunity for reflection and to recall happy times and memories.

This year, our special Lights to Remember service will take place at Dominican College, Fortwilliam, Belfast on Thursday 14th December at 7pm.

At our poignant service, we will have our favourite carols, carefully-chosen reflections and readings by guest speakers. We will be joined by the Parkhill family and our President, Paul Clark, who will turn on our Christmas tree lights at Somerton House, our Adult In-Patient Unit, remembering our loved ones and the bereaved.

For those who can’t make it to the event, you will be able to watch our beautiful tribute service on Monday 18th December online.
