Christmas can be a difficult time for many people in our community whose loved ones have died.
This year, we will once again mark this significant time with our Light Up a Star campaign.
The stars in the sky have a special representation for many. Children and adults alike, look up to the stars and see their loved ones shining down on them. We’re embracing these meaningful moments by giving our community the opportunity to make a dedication in memory of those they love.

For four decades, Butterwick Hospice has supported local communities across our regions of Durham Dales, North Yorkshire and Tees Valley, providing holistic palliative and supportive care to Adults, Children, Babies and their families.
We believe that every moment counts and want to ensure that we can meet our commitment to the community and the people we serve, making every day the best it can be. We can only continue to care for those individuals who need our specialist care and experienced understanding, thanks to the generous support from our wonderful community of supporters.
