Light up a Life, sponsored by Fred Hamer, is a pivotal moment in Bury Hospice’s calendar.

At this very special time of year we come together to remember those we love and miss and the joy they brought to our lives.

Our Light up a Life services will take place at Bury Hospice on Sunday, December 1st at 4pm and at Bury Parish Church on Wednesday, December 4th at 7.30pm.

Running alongside the annual service is our Light up a Life donation appeal which will help us to continue to deliver palliative and end-of-life care and support to patients and their families across Bury.

Bury Hospice opened in June 1991 and the charity has helped thousands of people through some of the most difficult times in their lives with specialist, compassionate and palliative end-of-life care.
It costs us £4.8 million to run our services with a 17% contribution from the government. The remainder is raised via our income generation streams and support from the community.
