Title: Left to #WatchWaitWorry
Description/copy:
Left to #WatchWaitWorry
We have been campaigning on behalf of chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL) patients on Watch and Wait since 2017. Despite our best efforts, the COVID-19 pandemic has demonstrated a lack of support and clinical guidance for patients on active monitoring. Join our Left to #WatchWaitWorry campaign and help us to improve the support offered to patients on Watch and Wait.
What can I do?
Help us to demonstrate why it’s important for CLL patients to have access to better support and information during the active monitoring period. Tell us why you’re grateful to have a clinical nurse specialist (CNS) or dedicated healthcare professional as a CLL patient on Watch and Wait!
Submit your message of gratitude to our campaign message board! If you don’t have access to a CNS or dedicated healthcare professional, submit a message telling us why you would appreciate one.
How do I do this?
First, choose your healthcare professional! Once you’ve made your selection, write and submit a message of gratitude for your CNS/dedicated healthcare professional, or let us know why you’d appreciate one. How have they supported you through the Watch and Wait period? Or would you appreciate having a dedicated healthcare professional and more access to information during the Watch and Wait Period?
Not only will your message appear on our campaign board, but you can even choose to send your message as an E-Card too.
Let’s demonstrate why we need better support and clinical guidance for patients on active monitoring!
Alternatively, if you’d like to send us an email or a letter with your message, we can post it on the message board for you.
Email campaigns@leukaemiacare.org.uk or send us a letter at:

I’m currently a CLL patient on Watch and Wait, what support is currently available for me?

Leukaemia Care is a national blood cancer support charity. We are dedicated to ensuring that anyone affected by blood cancer receives the right information, advice and support.
A diagnosis of a blood cancer can have a huge impact on someone emotionally, as well as physically. We understand that feelings of shock, anger and loneliness are all common at the time of diagnosis, during treatment and recovery and having someone to talk to, as well as the right information available can be a huge comfort.
We not only support patients, but carers and families too who can often carry a lot of the emotional strain when someone they love is diagnosed with a blood cancer.
We focus on the support that is needed now to help those affected by blood cancer cope during a diagnosis and beyond.
