When someone you love is nearing the end of their life, being surrounded by familiar comforts, treasured memories and the people who matter most can mean everything.
Hospice at Home Carlisle & North Lakeland helps make this possible. Our registered nurses and healthcare assistants provide skilled, compassionate care to patients in the last year of life and at the end of life—all within the comfort of their own homes.
Across more than 1,500 square miles of north & east Cumbria, our clinicians travel through towns, villages and remote rural communities to reach local families when they need us most. Working alongside other health, social care and voluntary organisations, we provide individualised care that protects dignity, improves quality of life and supports loved ones through illness and bereavement.
Our services are provided free of charge, but we can only continue this vital work with the generosity of people like you.
This Christmas, dedicate a light on our tree in memory of someone special. As each light shines, it will honour a much-loved person while helping another local family receive compassionate care, comfort and support at home.
Light up a life. Remember someone you love. Help us care for someone else.

Hospice at Home Carlisle & North Lakeland provides free, compassionate care to adults with life-limiting illnesses and those at the end of life, enabling them to remain in the comfort of their own homes. Across 1,500 square miles of urban and rural Cumbria, our nurses, healthcare assistants and wider clinical teams provide personalised nursing care, respite, complementary therapies, and bereavement and family support. More than 80% of our work is funded by the community, so every donation helps us reach local patients and families when they need expert care, comfort and dignity most.
