Even if the crisis in the Middle East overshadows all other topics in the current news, the war in Ukraine is more present than ever before. Around 30 new refugees from Ukraine are still arriving in our city on a regular basis, month after month. They are fleeing destruction and a lack of prospects and have to build a new life in Germany. Since April 2022, GoldenHearts has been offering German courses for these children and young people three times a week. In the current school year, the GoldenHearts language courses are giving around 60 children and young people a chance to learn enough German in the shortest possible time to hopefully be able to graduate from a German school. Please help us to ensure that we can continue to help these children in the future.
