Gray Ghosts & Ghouls! - Atlanta Weimaraner Club Rescue

Gray Ghosts & Ghouls!

It’s Hallo-WEIM, Y'all! The weather is getting cooler and the days are getting shorter and spookier! The Gray Ghosts & Ghouls are waiting to be found! The only thing spookier is a Weimaraner staring you down for breakfast at the food of your bed!

We don't like asking for money... but sometimes ya just gotta do it! So let’s make it fun!

In rescue, it can be "feast or famine" when it comes to intake, health issues of our fosters, boarding due to lack of fosters and this year especially, intensive behavioral programs to learn how to manage the pups that are surrendered due to lack of socialization. One or two of those scenarios and wipe out funds very quickly... and we've had 4-5 of them so far this year!

Veterinary bills and boarding (in lieu of available, no-cost foster homes/boarding) continue to be our biggest expense, but there are several other pockets of need that our funds support, such as permanent foster support and working with families to be able to continue to care for their senior Weims under the care and support of the rescue.

We currently support 10 senior and medically needy Weims in our permanent foster program that were pulled from shelters or surrendered to us because their families could no longer care for them and/or afford their care. While it's easy to judge those that fall in these circumstances, we focus our energy, instead, on making sure that we ensure the quality of care and life for the Weim. Several of these sweet pups require special veterinary prescription food which can be pricey which adds to their overall need for care.

We will be highlighting the Weimies in our Permanent Foster Program so that you get to meet these sweet pups and see how your donations help keep them healthy and happy!

We have followers and supporters from all over the world! We now have 6400 followers on Facebook! If each follower would donate $1, $5, $10 or more, imagine what we could do together!

Please help Atlanta Weimaraner Rescue Club this Hallo-WEIM season with a tax deductible contribution to our general fund. Any amount is greatly appreciated and valued.

Thank you to all of our Facebook friends that continue to support us daily. Atlanta Weimaraner Club Rescue is a 501c3, non-profit organization. All donations are tax deductible. We primarily cover the States of Georgia and South Carolina and work with Weimaraner rescues around the Southeast & Florida to save one gray dog at a time!

Our Mission is to rescue, nurture and connect abandoned Weimaraners with forever homes… one gray dog at a time. We provide for the rescue, care, and adoption of lost, surrendered and homeless Weimaraners by working with Georgia shelters, other rescues and providing foster homes leading to forever homes! We provide public education on the breed and responsible dog ownership. On social note, we, offer Weimaraner owners and enthusiasts a place to meet others that enjoy doing things with their Weimaraners.

Our rescue program is run strictly on a volunteer basis & supported through adoption fees, fundraising and private donations. We do not have kennel facilities, nor do we receive financial help from the government.
