I am setting up an engineering charity event to run on Thursday 17th March. The theme is the mad hatters tea party. All proceeds will be going to Rotherham hospital. There are two key projects coming up soon which the fundraising will make a huge, lasting difference to. Any funds raised will be designated to the following:
The Children’s Ward outdoor play area: the Christmas 2021 appeal raised funds to revamp the old rooftop play area near the Children’s Ward at Rotherham Hospital. The hospital have just completed a survey amongst the patients, their families and the public to see what they’d like the play area to look like. They will use this to shape the new design.
Children’s Ward artwork: the charity has previously funded some beautiful artwork by artist Lucy Strutt on the Special Care Baby Unit, UECC and Children’s Outpatients. Lucy is coming back after Easter to start work on the Children’s Ward. It’s a big job! The hospital are also in the process of putting another bid in to extend the work so we can cover all the different play rooms, treatment rooms and cubicles with some comforting, fun and colourful designs.

Generous colleagues, volunteers and fundraisers have been supporting the Rotherham Hospital and Community Charity for more than 20 years.
We are officially registered with the Charity Commission (Registered Charity No 1054407) and aim to raise money to enhance the care patients, their families and carers receive in the community and at Rotherham Hospital.
The charity raises money to help fund the added extras which really make a difference to patients of all ages every year in Rotherham and which the NHS would ordinarily not be able to afford.
The generous donations we receive have enabled the charity to improve patient care, provide specialist training, facilities and state-of-the-art equipment.
