Christmas Tree of Remembrance - PIPS Hope and Support

PIPS Hope & Support offers the community a targeted response to suicide and self-harm and is the leading suicide prevention charity and the leading independent advocate in the SHSCT and Newry, Mourne and Down Council areas on all aspects of suicide including prevention, intervention & postvention ( Suicide bereavement) in order to reduce and prevent suicide and self-harm.

PIPS Hope and Support has been providing crisis counselling services, suicide bereavement counselling and family therapy for 17 years. We currently have 19 accredited counsellors and see over 100+ new clients each month from people from all over NI. Since Covid-19, this demand on a monthly basis has increased by over 30% and with a halt in much of our fundraising initiatives, meeting the demand for immediate help may be impacted due to financial restraints. Since the onset of the Coronavirus pandemic at the end of March, the demand for the crisis counselling service has dramatically increased and PIPS Hope & Support has to date had 653 NEW crisis counselling referrals!

This Christmas, we are hosting a 'Tree of Remembrance' were you can add a ribbon to our tree in remembrance of a loved one for hope for a small donation that in turn will allow us to continue providing fundamental support to those in the community who need us.
