Bury Hospice has launched its annual Christmas Appeal to create special memories for patients and their families.
For some, this festive season will be the last spent with loved ones due to life-limiting illnesses.
The hospice, which needs £4.8 million to operate with only 17% coming from government funding, relies heavily on community support to maintain its services.
This year, we have introduced a 'wish list' of donations that can enhance the Christmas experience for our patients.
For £10, a patient can enjoy a Christmas bubble bath, while a £20 donation will cover a three-course Christmas dinner.
A £30 contribution will provide a complementary therapy session for a patient or their loved one, and £40 will allow a patient's loved one to join them for Christmas dinner.
A £50 donation will enable a member of the outreach team to visit a patient at home during the Christmas period.
The hospice assures that all donations will be used to provide crucial care for people across Bury when they need it most.

Bury Hospice opened in June 1991 and the charity has helped thousands of people through some of the most difficult times in their lives with specialist, compassionate and palliative end-of-life care.
It costs us £4.8 million to run our services with a 17% contribution from the government. The remainder is raised via our income generation streams and support from the community.
