This fine fellow is called Charlie, an eight-year-old Labrador/German Shephard mix. We have taken Charlie from Carrick Dog Shelter as he has been there some time. He has been rehomed a couple of times from the Pound but returned to the Pound.
Charlie becomes, after a while, protective of his humans and surroundings. When he is with his humans, he loves to be the centre of attention and loves his cuddles. We expect that Charlie will be in our kennels for some time until the right home comes up for him, however long it takes.
Charlie is not suitable for fostering, so we are looking for help with his ongoing kennel fees, food, toys etc. Any donations will be greatly appreciated.

We believe that animals should have:
Freedom from hunger or thirst by ready access to fresh water and a diet to maintain full health and vigour.
Freedom from discomfort by providing an appropriate environment including shelter and a comfortable resting area.
Freedom from pain, injury or disease by prevention or rapid diagnosis and treatment.
Freedom to express normal behaviour by providing sufficient space, proper facilities and company of the animal’s own kind.
Freedom from fear and distress by ensuring conditions and treatment which avoid mental suffering.
