Furzedown Farm CIC

Furzedown Farm CIC is a community-focused, non-ridden equine and animal-assisted centre providing a welcoming and supportive environment where people can connect with animals, nature and the countryside.
Our work is centred around improving wellbeing, reducing isolation and creating opportunities for people of different ages and abilities to benefit from meaningful interaction with our ponies, donkeys, sheep and other animals. We encourage calm, hands-on experiences such as grooming, caring for animals, spending time alongside them and taking part in activities around the farm.
We provide and are developing a range of community activities, including wellbeing and dementia-friendly programmes, educational opportunities, volunteering and non-ridden equine and animal-assisted sessions. Our aim is to make the farm a place where people feel welcome, valued and able to participate at a level that is right for them.
