Ferne Animal Sanctuary

Founded by Nina, Duchess of Hamilton & Brandon, Ferne Animal Sanctuary started at the outbreak of World War II to help house the animals that service men and women were forced to leave behind.
Since 1939, Ferne has rescued or rehomed over 40,000 animals, and sadly the demand for our services only ever increases. We currently provide refuge for over 300 resident animals at the sanctuary, and rehome up to 500 pets each year.
Ferne relies entirely on the generosity of it's supporters to continue their vital work. Every penny raised helps us to continue to provide a vital safety net to animals in need. Animals, who through no fault of their own find themselves in need of a helping hand, some care and attention and a safe, loving home.
