Bristol After Stroke

Bristol After Stroke is a small, local independent charity which helps to rebuild people’s lives after a stroke in Bristol and South Gloucestershire.
Our services include guidance and support at home, group-based peer support through our groups and cafes, to rehabilitation focused short courses, such as our physiotherapy rehabilitation course and emotional and psychological support, such as counselling. We also have a specialist Speech and Language therapist (SLT) trained in Aphasia, a communication disorder, to support across our services.
Locally where we operate in Bristol and South Gloucestershire there are approximately 12,000 people that live with stroke and approximately 850 people have a stroke each year.
We are unable to continue our vital work without your donations and support.
