This page has been set up to enable family, friends and supporters to light a virtual candle in memory of a loved one, or to send a message of support for those who attend the Candlelight Service.
These candles will be displayed on screen at our 2024 Candlelight Service.
What is the Candlelight Service?
The Candlelight Service is a special service of music and reflection to acknowledge love and loss, held every year for families who use CHAS, as well as staff and volunteers.
You can light a candle in memory of a child who has died. You can also light a candle to send a message of love and support to every family who attends.
This page is open to anyone who would like to light a candle for our Candlelight Service, wherever you are.
Perhaps you can't attend, or maybe you have extended family who can't come along, but would appreciate being able to light their own candle. Maybe you are coming along, but you want to light a candle in advance too. Maybe you simply feel passionately about the work we do, and want to send a message of love to families.
There is the option to make a donation alongside lighting your candle, but this is in no way obligatory.
Thank you.

We are Children's Hospices Across Scotland, but people call us CHAS.
We provide unwavering care for children who may die young and their families, at every step on this hardest of journeys.
Knowing your child may die young has a devastating impact on every family member. We provide unwavering care at every step on this hardest of journeys, in a way that is right for each family. We offer exceptional care across people's homes, hospitals, and our two hospices. We want every family to be able to make the most of the precious time they have with their child, no matter how short that time may be.
When you support CHAS, you help us stand with families during moments of profound sadness. But you also help us create moments of joy, that families can treasure forever. Thank you for your incredible support.
