When you think of Christmas, what comes to mind? For many of us it’s twinkling lights on the tree, the smell of something roasting in the oven, laughter around the table, maybe a cheesy film and a mug of hot chocolate.
But for someone living with cancer, Christmas can feel very different. The food is on the table, but treatment side-effects steal away the appetite. The carols may be playing, but pressure and exhaustion can make it hard to join in.
That’s why My Cancer My Choices exists. We offer complementary therapies that ease pain, calm anxiety, and bring comfort when it’s needed most. More than that, we help people feel like themselves again, so they can live in the moment and enjoy Christmas, and every day, to the fullest.
We’ve even had people describe our service as “sanity-saving.” For them, it’s not just about therapy. It’s about being reminded that cancer doesn’t define them, and it doesn’t get to dictate their joy.
But here’s the truth: we don’t receive any government funding. Everything we do is only possible because of people like you. Without your donations, we simply couldn’t open our doors, and hundreds of people would miss out on the care and support that makes such a difference.
This festive season, we're raising funds to support more people through their therapy journey. Each gift, no matter the size, brings us closer:
• £10 – 1hr room hire at treatment centres
• £20 – 2 Bottles of organic massage oil
• £40 – 2 boxes of acupuncture needles
• £50 – 1 mindfulness course introductory session
• £100 – 200 miles of therapist travel expenses
• £250 – one month of patient management software
• £350 – one person through their full MCMC journey
This Christmas, you can give someone living with cancer the gift of feeling more human and less like a patient – please help us make that possible.
Please give today.

My Cancer My Choices (MCMC) provides complementary therapies, from specialist therapists, to people with cancer in Berkshire and the surrounding areas. Our award-winning team of volunteers offer individuals living with cancer a range of complementary therapies and group courses tailored to alleviate symptoms such as pain, fatigue, nausea, and emotional distress.
We provide six free one-to-one treatments to individuals who are newly diagnosed, undergoing active treatment, or within six months of finishing treatment. While our therapies and courses are provided free of charge, fundraising is essential to cover costs.
We are incredibly grateful to you for your support. You are helping us to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those facing cancer and empowering us to continue delivering vital services.
