Once again as part of our annual Light up a Life campaign you can dedicate a light on our Virtual Christmas tree .

Alongside the traditional way of dedicating lights on our Christmas trees, you can support Woodlands Hospice without leaving home. This is particularly important under the current circumstances, when more of us have to stay apart from our loved ones and find new ways to connect with each other.

Dedicate a light on our virtual tree and leave a personalised message when you donate the amount of your choice. Upload a photo too, should you wish. Once the light has been dedicated the message can be viewed when hovering over the light on the tree allowing you to share the reasons why you have donated with others. There will also be an opportunity to dedicate the Big Star at the top of the online tree/s for a higher donation option.

You’ll receive an automatic online confirmation of your dedication followed by a special card containing the name of your dedication as it appears in the Book of Life.

Sadly, due to the pandemic restrictions we will not be able to have our usual Light up a Life service at the Hospice and we will also not be having any additional services in the community as we have in previous years. We will film a 'Virtual Light up a Life Service' which will be on our website, and be available to watch at 6.00 pm on Sunday 6th December at www.woodlandshospice.org/light-up-a-life. Unfortunately, we will not be able to have a printed Book of Life on display this year, instead, it will be published online and a smaller version 'made to order' will be available for £5 each and posted out after our virtual Light up a Life service.

Along with our Light up a Life pin badges for sale at £1.50 each, Light up a Life bracelet at £5 each we are also introducing a keepsake tree decoration for sale at £3.00 each. These can be ordered via our website or call 0151 529 4143. There is no additional charge for postage.

Of course you’ll be able to view your dedicated light as often as you wish.
