Hello, I'm Sarah.

I’m a novelist - 28 books and counting - and so happy that I’ve been able to make a career out of what I like doing best.

But my other love has always been performing. I’ve loved acting at school, then university, and now with my wonderful local group, The Morden Players.

Everything came together with musician Ros Holbrow in our cabaret act Pulsatillas, for which we composed all our own material. Our first-ever performance (with Jayne Downes) was in aid of Royston Home-Start!


I’m afraid I need no second invitation to ‘dance like no-one’s watching’. I’ve given lots of styles a whirl over the years, from ballet, jazz and tap (the latter best forgotten), to ballroom, country dancing and tango - all some time ago and none to a high level but hugely enjoyed. In all modesty I can do a mean charleston ‘swivel’...

I'm thrilled to bits to be taking part in Strictly for Charity. As assorted embarrassed relatives can testify I love to dance, and need no second bidding, especially when it's for Home-Start! The exercise regime has begun...
