Onboarding your Charity Account

Onboard your account in under 10 minutes and start fundraising today!

Once you have signed up for a Charity account, complete the following tasks to onboard your account:

  • Confirm your email address
  • Upload your charity logo
  • Supply your contact details for your supporters
  • Supply your charity address
  • Tell us a little bit about what you do
  • Write a standard thank you message
  • Connect your Stripe account to Visufund

All of these settings are in Charity Account. If you need any help with these steps, read on for a more detailed explanation.

Email address

To help us validate your account, we ask you to click the link in the email you received from us when you signed up. If you didn't receive the email or can't find it, click on the notification in your Charity Account to re-send it.

Upload your charity's main logo. This will be displayed in the Charities section of ther website, so supporters can learn more about your work. By default, this charity logo is displayed on all your fundraising pages, although you can change this to an alternative logo on individual pages if required. Contact details

Please provide contact details that you are happy to share publicly. Your contact details are displayed in the 'About Page' of any fundraising page, and also included in the donor's email receipt, so that supporters know how to get in touch.

  • Email address
  • Telephone

Charity address

To help us verify your account, this should be your charity's registered address or, if different, a correspondence address displayed on your website. If you purchase any plans or products, we will use this address on the invoice.

What you do

Write a short general description of the work your charity does in the section called About The Charity. You may already have a version of this on your own website, under the header of "What We Do" or "Our Mission". This information is displayed on all your fundraising pages, and on your profile page.

Please do not refer to any seasonal or specific campaigns in this section, as this information is shared with your supporters all year round. You will be able to write a more-tailored Case For Support on your individual pages.

Thank You message

The Thank You message is included in the email receipt when someone donates through one of your supporter's fundraising pages, or when they donate through your profile page.

When you create a page, you will have the option to write a more tailored message that relates to your specific appeal or campaign.

Stripe account

In order to fundraise on Visufund, you are required to connect a Stripe account - this allows you to receive donations directly. If you don't already have an account, we can help you to create one in just a few minutes.

Once you've completed these steps, your account will be fully onboard - you're ready to start fundraising!
