Director's Statement - COVID-19
20th March 2020
If I’d spoken to you two weeks ago, our conversation would have been relatively normal, probably chatting about fundraising, your amazing supporters and the importance of the work we all do. Yet here we are now, faced with the biggest threat of our lives that will challenge us for many months, even years.
In the few days that have passed since the situation escalated in the Western world, I’ve witnessed numerous acts of human kindness. It’s a stark reminder of how important this positive human behaviour is, and how it will be the driving force to get us through. This is the business that you and I are in.
I have become very quickly aware of the impact this is going to have on charities everywhere. The list is endless. I want you to know that we want to help you in any way we can. We are only an email or phone call away if you need to talk to us about anything, not just about Visufund.
We were getting very excited about launching some new products this month, but we cancelled the announcement as it was clearly inappropriate. Instead, we are now channelling all our efforts into how we can best help you over the next few months. As a small gesture, all our charity members are being upgraded to the Plus Plan until the end of June, giving you access to all features of the platform.
I also want to invite you to tell us your ideas and exactly what you need. In particular, we want to add new template designs to our library, so there is something relevant and useful for everyone. With all upcoming events cancelled and revenues likely to be hit, we want to develop virtual replacements to raise funds or serve your cause. Likewise, if there are any missing features that would assist you in the crisis, please let us know and we will do our best to help.
If you don’t already have personal contact details for our team, use the contact form in the first instance. We’ll get back to you straight away.
That only leaves me to wish you all the very best over the next challenging months. Stay strong, stay safe and never forget how important you are to your charity.
